My friend Ilik is one of the most incredible people I've ever met. He graduated from ITB (Bandung Institute of Technology) in Indonesia and then got a Masters in Japan. After that, he acquired a PhD in Germany. Eventually, he even became one of the most highly respected leaders in his country and the president of ITB -- all this while being an ardent Christian in the area with the most Muslims on the planet. He taught us to love the Indonesian culture and also about what it means to be a true follower of Christ. Today I'd like to share a few stories of our time with Ilik and some of the incredible things he's accomplished over the course of his life. AuthorMy wife and I have lived most of our lives outside the US. Both our youths were in Taiwan. Then we worked in Taiwan for two years, Indonesia for 9 years and China for 25 years.
