My friend DaNy is an incredible man. Today I'd like to tell you the story of how God took him from being a struggling kid in his mid teens to a godly man having a huge impact on kids all around the country of Indonesia. Our friend Asa from China is an incredible man. Not only does he love Jesus, but he's also done everything from geological seismology to law to real estate to coal mining to even selling shoes! My friend Ilik is one of the most incredible people I've ever met. He graduated from ITB (Bandung Institute of Technology) in Indonesia and then got a Masters in Japan. After that, he acquired a PhD in Germany. Eventually, he even became one of the most highly respected leaders in his country and the president of ITB -- all this while being an ardent Christian in the area with the most Muslims on the planet. He taught us to love the Indonesian culture and also about what it means to be a true follower of Christ. Today I'd like to share a few stories of our time with Ilik and some of the incredible things he's accomplished over the course of his life. AuthorMy wife and I have lived most of our lives outside the US. Both our youths were in Taiwan. Then we worked in Taiwan for two years, Indonesia for 9 years and China for 25 years.
