Adventures on the Way to Hequ

To get to the small village of Hequ (pronounced like you're sneezing) in China where my grandparents worked, you had to take several trips by train until you got to the final leg of the journey which involved traveling by foot for 11 days through treacherous canyons. During one of these trips, my dad made a mistake which caused him to learn a difficult lesson and on another, the caravan encountered a group of bandits. In both cases, God miraculously protected my family and His divine hand was evident. ​
